Built in 1894, formerly known as the ?People's Palace' and ?Trekkers', the building was refurbished and restored to its original Edwardian grace in 2004, becoming the Comfort Hotel. The 3 star plus CQ Comfort Hotel Wellington provides the CQ complex with character and charm. Listed with the Historic Places Trust, it holds a prestigious place in the history of Wellington. Softly refurbished in 2011, the CQ Comfort Hotel provides a comfortable stay and value for money. With shared onsite facilities, both hotels (Comfort & Quality) include heated indoor swimming pool and spa, roof top sun terrace, fitness room, bar, restaurant, café, self-service laundry (charges apply), onsite car parking (charges apply). All Comfort Hotel bookings now include an Express Breakfast! Located in the vibrant heart of Wellington, the complex is within easy walking distance to the CBD and Wellington's tourist attractions. Cuba Street has an abundance which is famous for the Bucket Fountain, of cafes, restaurants, art galleries and colourful collection of hidden boutiques. PARKING: We have limited onsite car parking and charges apply. This is on a first in first served basis. If this is unavailable parking is available nearby (2 min walk) at an extra cost. It is off-street and undercover. Parking coupons can be collected from reception and we can direct you from the hotel to the car parking. INTERNET: FREE unlimited WiFi available in all guest rooms. Please note an authorisation of NZ$100 per stay is required on check in for any incidentals. This can be held on your credit card, which is released at check out. Alternatively this can be paid in cash or EFTPOS and will be refunded at check out.

Clean, convenient and what we needed for a short one night stay.Staff were polite and helpful, good price and the location was excellent. We did have a problem with the shower, it ran too hot to stand under and we could not turn the temp down.

Booked a king got issued with two singles, but it was sorted. Clean, tidy and comfortable and great location. Would stay again.

We booked a king bed room and got issued with a double bed. Could feel the springs through the mattress and didn't get any sleep at all. We booked a car park that came with the room to be told at check in that there were no parks left! the room was clean and that's the only good thing i can say. For the price it was unsatisfactory. We stayed somewhere else the next night that was $50 cheaper, more quiet comfortable, closer to the cbd and actually looked like and provided what was advertised in the picture .

Very happy with our stay we had a twin share with two singles and it was perfect for us nothing big or exciting but just enough to keep us going for the weekend great location in the centre of cuba street an not to far from the waterfront ???? service was great an room was very tidy an clean thank you comfort!!.
